Well whaddaya know - my brother finally shelled out for broadband, so I'm still all connected.

M is one of my favourite people in the world, and I hadn't seen her for a year, so last night we got a curry in an authentic slightly-dodgy London curry house, and then got drunk on Stella in a proper pub. And we noted that it's almost ten years (!) since we were at university together.

I finished my xmas shopping in record time, but forgot to get wrapping paper. I think I'm going to buy my dad this to keep him occupied for a bit now he's retired.

Tonight it's beer with an old workmate, and tomorrow, M and I are off to see the mummy exhibition at the british museum, 'cos my friend jenny worked on it. Hopefully we can grab her for lunch too.

Then it's off out to the middle of nowhere to see the parentals (cue grandiose stories about making my way in the world out in Cali), and also to see my schoolfriends (cue drinking and acting like we're all about 12)
