So, it was really great to see a bunch of my friends from home at the wedding. I just wish I'd had chance to spend a bit more time out there. Hopefully some will come visit before to long. That was the first outdoor wedding I've been to. It was also a very short ceremony that involved no singing.
As if my travel arrangements weren't crazy enough as it was, my very first flight was 20 minutes late, so I missed all my connections on the way there. I spent 6 hours in Vegas airport - I managed to get an hour's sleep on the floor, but that was it.
I wandered around listening to Our Endless Numbered Days by Iron And Wine for a bit, which made the whole thing strangely serene (and, in places, a little eerie) - the place was almost deserted, and everyone else
[interlude - after travelling all day I'm extremely hungry, and the pizza I ordered has just arrived, will be back shortly...yum]
who was there was asleep. I don't know how I have so much trouble getting out of bed on a normal weekday considering how well I handled being awake for almost 40 hours straight...
Whilst outside of Cali I also took the opportunity to smoke indoors.

i always use semi-wasted travel time such as that for reading really bad magazines that i'd be embarrrassed to purchase under any other circumstances.
