So I think today I properly missed being back in England for the first time. Not missing my friends - I do that pretty much everyday( in a good way) - but actually being back there.
I was listening to a Faithless tune, Crazy English Summer, and it reminded me of a couple of years ago when I was pissed off with my job, so I took a few days off and stayed with my best friend. For three or four days, I spent the day wandering around London in the Sun and reading books. Then I'd meet Dave outside of work, at which point we'd preceed to go and get drunk. It was, in a word, Fantastic. London in the Summer is good.
...anyway, here's my four day weekend I'm off up to SF on Friday night, and I have a bunch of stuff to do that I've been putting off forever. And, so you can check up on me and berate me if I've been lazy, here's the list:
-buy suit for impending wedding.
-finally do my induction at the gym
-go collect a bed I've been given
-locate post office, collect parcel.
-buy stamps, write to people.
-buy xbox, connect to xbox live*, open a long overdue can of whuppass on my friends back home.
I also have to fit in frisbee, and possibly more shooting. I was also thinking about test-driving some cars - the beige volvo just isn't ringing my bell anymore.
*Attention children! - Do not attempt this at home. I am a trained games professional. Computer games are actually a soul destroying waste of time. Go play out in the sun. You miserable little spidermonkeys.
*edit* hmmm, I ought to get some guys in my friends list, it's beginning to look bad...
