And so the days blend into each other with only slight differentiations...
Today I went to work. Aside from me periodically coughing funny-coloured stuff up and fiddling with a character sheet (and having in-depth discussions about the political situations of The Realm in Exalted) it was pretty much like any other day.
Tonight I plan to sit around on my own and work on my character. I don't actually mind this. Fully-fleshing out my character is exciting me the way that writing my novel used to... *cough* ... which I probably should be working on... except I'm not at all inspired these days... Anyway, it's fun and creative and there's worse things I could do on a Saturday night than stuff that's fun and creative. Besides, I can watch Sealab at the same time. Also, Clone High is on tonight. Sweet.
Other news? Well, there isn't much. That's why today is pretty much like any other workday. Yesterday did have one point of interest, though, that I didn't mention in my journal: I received accreditation to see previews of Alliance-Atlantis films and the rep referred me to the Film Editor of FFWD Magazine, who I subsequently called and talked to and he said he'd keep me in mind for future stories. This is exciting. Mostly because they pay.
Here is a link to my latest article which is all about fan-fiction.... eeeeerooootiiiiiiiic fan-fiction. You know you all love it.
Now I go be a writer.
(Edited to say that although I did my best to go off and be productive, I was thwarted scant minutes later by the Britney Spears Spotlight on MuchMusic which is still going on and is so awesome I swear my head's gonna explode.)
(Edited further, following much downloading of classic rawk, to say that I fucking LOVE '70s Camaro tunes (i.e. Toronto, Trooper, Triumph, Asia, Boston, etc., etc., ad nauseum, ad infinitum). I swear that I was born to join some kind of weird hybrid between the Algonquin Round Table and a hesher tailgate party. The Algonquin Tailgate Party--yeeeaaaah! "DUDES! Check it out! Dorothy Parker is totally gonna shotgun that beer bong!" Man--a two-four, AC/DC's Dirty Deeds on the stereo, and a bunch of witty half-crocked 1920s writers: that would be heaven.
You know, sometimes even I marvel at my own earnestness and inherent obscurity.)
