Yeah i guess i should update more often ... haven't for a bit now partly because I'm uber busy (two thirds of the way through writing three essays) and partly because I'm waiting for something uber good to happen so it doesn't become a bitching (not to be confused with bitchin which I hear is good) collumn ... so what can I say
Finally discovered what 'for schizel' means (apparently the closest thing is the french 'bien sur') does this mean I'm 'down' with yuth kulcher? Lets hope not.
Realised I'm only in california for another three and a half months of my nine month stay so what have I acheived ... well I now say 'like' far too much, I'm pretty sure I've lost most of my ability to recognise irony or sarcasm (a friend today told me on the phone that she was on her way to an internship at a mental hospital and I seriously advised her to avoid full moon shifts before realising a few minutes later that she may not have been entirely serious) but maybe thats just cos im tired.
what else ...
I've realised that contrary to popular belief back home not all american exams are mutiple choice, that I need to avoid getting arrested for a while in order to get back in, that I am more nerdy than I ever realised, that santa cruz could have been a LOT more fun than berkeley though it wouldn't have looked as good on the CV.
I want to spend a year after university working in bars, reading, writing, playing football (i had to stop myself calling it soccer), learning a language or a martial art and getting laid with clever and beautiful women again and generally getting back the life which I left in the library somewhere.
thats a bit bitchy i know but it contains a postitive idea so i think i get away with it ...
Well my sister emigrates to New zealand proper tommorow with her boyfriend its interested that she didn't just take the short cut of marrying him ... I always thought she'd get married quickly.
Anyway I need to go finish my theories of justice essay which is actually interesting (makes a nice change from analysing 'perlocutionary effect in Grice's account of meaning') its about whether its legitimate to have 'good samaritan' laws that punish people for not helping other people in some situations.
anyway on friday the essays will all be done so I wil try and socialise on this thing and actually add some people to the ol friends bit.
take care
