I'm going to focus on getting a Mage game together soon. I know at least one person on SGBC is interested, so I only need to find two or three more. I'm going to start a thread on SGBC soon and start the screening process. I don't think I'm going to be too picky this time. All I want is to run a straightforward game, no extra-game magick-working or personal character-building. For one, I just don't think I'm up to that at the moment, and for two, I just want to get the gaming out of my system. I've wanted to do some gaming for a while, so I want to just get it out of my system. After I've gotten back into the groove of story-telling, if the people in the group are interested in doing something different, I'll explore it then.
On the mystical side, I've been on a regular meditation schedule for almost three weeks now. As long as I do a few simple stretches before I meditate, my back doesn't hurt, so I can hold a poseture for a while. I had started to work on getting my mind more clear and focused two days ago, but yesterday I woke up with a stomach ache, so I've spent my time trying to feel better. It's tough to work on higher states when you feel like crap. I guess that's why so much yoga is devoted to controlling the body and keeping it healthy. I have much to learn, still, but I'm at least happy to work on it consistently. In order to keep this up when the school starts again, I'll need to wake up about two extra hours before I leave the house, but so far I'm looking at an early afternoon schedule, so that shouldn't be too hard to do. If I have earlier duties, I'll just have to make myself get up earlier. Enlightenment is worthwhile, and I think I'll need my serenity to get through grad school. I know that I could have used more of it last year.
On a final note, I advise people to listen to Mortiis. He's a founder of Troll Metal, but his style is distinctly more ambient and gothic, with some of the more recent stuff getting almost Darkwave. The earlier albums are excellent music to play during a D&D game. I found a bunch of his stuff on SoulSeek.
