We're at Z'otz. Tara's been drawing and I've been writing a short paper, one I was going to write in two days, but now that time is free to get started on at least one of the papers I need to write before the end of the semester. Bleh.

I am in the mood to get all of my work done as soon as possible, though. Today I reserved the hotel room and car rental for our trip to LA. This trip is getting filed under "financially irresponsible things I've done for a girl." It's a relatively short file, granted, but talking to her to today really reaffirmed my commitment. I am a total sucker for a pretty face, especially when that pretty face sends off all signals of genuinely liking me.

The rest of summer should be nice as we're likely to graced by the presence of other good people who don't live here. We'll be poor as hell, but we should still have a lot of fun.

I've been feeling a bit apathetic toward my classes lately, but I don't think it's showing in my work. I'm just about getting out of that mood, too, which is good. Just in time for the big end-of-semester push. My recent slump may have been some sort of anticipatory recovery effort. At any rate, I'm going to characterize it that way in hopes that it's true.
