I finished the other paper I needed to finish before the end of spring break. My guess is that no one else who has to do these papers has even started on them. Sometime after UBC, I became less of a slacker and more of an overachiever. However, my method of getting work done is just to start early and spread the work out. I don't avoid any work, but I avoid the stress associated with having to get everything done at the last minute. In the end, I do as much or more work than everyone else (and sometimes it needs to be more because some of other grad students are way sharper than I am, so I have to work extra to keep up), but I make it look easier by being more relaxed about it.
However, I've done enough to last two days, so I'm going to chill the rest of the night, take tomorrow off to do some running around with John, then get cracking on a Hobbes paper on Thor's Day.
Difference between you and me is I make this look good.

And yes, you're exactly right about the venting thing. We were just on completely different pages for the night. I praise Goddess for letting me get back on SG so *I* could vent... she's on my MySpace list, so that wouldn't have worked! (the girl, not the Goddess... although that would be kick ass...)
