So, things did not go entirely as expected today. We took the Mazda back to my parents' house, but noticed a check engine light (this is after we did all of the paperwork, mind you). We brought it back to the dealership, and they checked it out and diagnosed a transmission problem. The salesman (who'd known my family for a long time) took us to a Toyota Camry which he wanted me to test drive. At first, I felt a little annoyed about it because the Camry was more than the 626, but in the end, I decided that the Camry was a better car, and we drove home with that instead, after doing even more paperwork. Oddly enough, they were both the same colour, grey, meaning that right now, we actually don't have a car whose colour we dislike. That's a plus.
