I have written several entries in the past 24 hours, but I think Halloween merits one more.
Yesterday, I thought that we had our Halloween night out. We went to Rocky, which Tara talked about, and had a good bit of fun. Tonight, Halloween night proper, I had class until 9:30, and class tomorrow, and nothing came up, so I figured that, lacking definite plans but having had one outing, we would just stay in. However, during seminar, I found out about a free horror movie festival at the Prytania. I love the Prytania, and the bill was pretty good. We missed the first two movies because of my class, but we got to see all of Poltergeist and Re-Animator (which I had to see because it's a Lovecraft movie).
Poltergeist was especially funny because the reels were mislabeled, so they ended up showing the movie out of order. The first and last reels were in the right place, but everything in the middle was all chopped up (Fight Club fans know how to look for reel changes, so you know what I mean here). It was fucking hilarious, like being in one particular scene from Crying of Lot 49. Re-Animator was thankfully in order, and a great bad movie.
We ended having a lot of fun, and staying out late, and I'm skipping class tomorrow so I can do some things I should have done tonight. Yay, slack!

do you know of any locations i could get naked at? it's hard to find em... maybe i'll approach someone whose house is in the rebuilding stages and proposition them? i would love to use a really historic place, and tell em it's to help the word get out... you know, the naked new orleans word!
