I ended up skipping the department function today for the sake of running some errands. I've felt a bit overworked after my flurry of activity earlier in the week, so I also didn't want to push myself to do anything I didn't immediately feel like doing. If the Wittgenstein reading group had met as scheduled, I would have just made myself go through with the whole thing. I'm still looking forward to the Wittgenstein reading group and I hope we get started on that next week.

We finally got some incense from the mushroom, so I could make the house smelly and use the incense burner on the Cube for something other than decoration. I still need some votive candles and short tapers for my candle holders.

I got some reading done, then had a long phone conversation with Q. After refueling with munchies from Walgreens, I went back to reading and practiced the bass until my fingers were sore. The blister on the middle finger of my right hand is a bit better, but i roughed it up some tonight. I never did develop a blister on my index finger, although I got pretty close two nights ago. I still just can't hit the strings right with that finger; my nail catches the strings too easily.

Tomorrow is the game, and after taking a week off to go to that party, I'm looking forward to it. The party was fun, but I missed the gaming and the people at the game.
