I had my first class today, a seminar on Aristotle's Metaphysics. The workload doesn't look as demanding as some classes I took at UBC, so I feel a good bit less nervous about taking four classes this term. I still have to see how the others pan out, but at least I know this one won't give me too many problems. I also think not having cable will help me get more work done. I find it easy to turn on the tv as background noise, and I feel fairly sure I do it because my parents taught me to do it when I was young. However, I do prefer not having it at all because it gives me more time to concentrate on more interesting things, and focus more on work I'm doing.
In other news, I did get registered for all of my classes, and I got keys, so I'm somebody again. I should have a mailbox soon, too, but the I like having keys. In particular, I have access to a departmental common room so I have somewhere other than more public areas to spend my downtime.

finally finished my paper, so it's dinner then off to bed now.
I've been neglecting any sort of meditation practices lately due to this strange self-abusive stage I've been going through lately, but *sigh* so far... knock on wood... I am not dropping any classes.
Have a nice day tommorrow.
