I finished my Shadowrun character last night. I had about 80 build points left to spend when we played on Saturday, so the character didn't have everything he was supposed to have. My dice pools for magic have now significantly increased, and my list of spells has been edited to match the bonuses I get from my totem. I even had one point left over to buy a single service from a bound spirit. Better use that wisely.
Got a good bit of practice in on the bass last night. Tara says I finally sound a bit better at least on 12 bar blues. Tuning remains an issue.
Classes start next Wednesday, and I plan to go buy books tomorrow. I would have gone out today, but I woke up to a rainstorm. We had to do some grocery shopping anyway, so we might as well do something that requires the car as opposed to something for which we would walk and take the bus. I do have work on Friday. This job at the library represents the first thing I've had which resembles real work since I worked at Gem. I won't have large amounts of downtime in which to read, and I won't be able to do all or most of my work at home. On the other hand, it's only 10 hours a week, split into two five hour shifts on the days I don't have class, and I'll be working to preserve books, which I can think of as a noble goal. My boss seems pretty laid back, and as far as work goes it should be an easy $7 per hour. It will also be the first time in a while we'll be comfortable monetarily, as long as we remember to save for summer. The good side of the library job is that I should be able to just continue working over the summer.
I started messing around with autosuggestion for my meditation routine. Cosmic Trigger provided some good advice there. It's only the first day of trying it, and I already feel better than my meditations have made me feel in a while.

hmmm yes, I've had some spectacular -I guess you could call it "autosuggestive" meditative visions. Although I had a debate with my counseling teacher last semester... because true meditation would not involve any outside infleuences.
I'm very interested in hearing more about your experiences someday.
