So I did some poking around on the net, spacificaly in the Maricopa County recorders office. Looks like the IRS placed a lien on my house for the Ex's unpaid taxes. It has since been paid off. But fuck stupid bitch. It was not my responsability to make sure she did her taxes, It was her choice not to do them in time. Its not my responsibility to fix others poor descisions.
Looks like my name is still on it but who knows. I could not find a decent lawyer in Phoenix. All of the lawyers I spoke with couldn't be bothered. I gues since there wasent millions to be made it wasn't worth there time.
I'm looking for a way out of here so if my name is still on it maybe I can get a car loan. The house is payed off so maybe. It is destroying me being here. My boundries mean nothing to her.
If I can get a loan I might just drive out to LA and live in it looking for work. I dont want to be near my mother. If I stay here I will be at her beck and call. I am willing to help any one in any reasonable way, but I will not help those that will not help themselves. She is not willing to get herself straightened out, and I am not sacrificing my life because she is unwilling to do what she needs to do. Its not my responsability to fix others poor descisions. It lacks a fundimental fairness.
Do you see any conections here? I do, and It is revolting to say the least.

I am not familiar with that state's contract and real estate law. You may have already gone this route but I'd try only a real estate attorney. At least to read your contract and see if you are screwed. They will charge a few of course but you may be able to force the selling of the house to get your half before taxes take over.
Also, I realize the IRS takes precedence in most cases, but it may be possible that your contract gives you half ownership and the IRS only has actual rights to the other half. This I have no idea.
If the bank will consider your contract as mortgage collateral then I'd use it if nothing else.
Did she just disappear from the face of the earth? Never to work again? Yes, now I am just being nosey.
