I missed a spot with the sun screen. My ankles. Guess the socks I changed into were shorter the the previous pair. Now my ankles are a bright fire engine red and they are terribly swollen and painful. This could be one of the worst sun burn that I have ever had. Coming from a person that has gone to the hospital from a sun burn when I was young.
Fortunately it is a small area.
Pics will be coming of the desert but they require some processing time to stitch together.

A friend of mine's daughter once went tubing for about 5 hours with no sunscreen, and she was on accutane which removes just about all of the oil from the skin. She had golf ball sized blisters on her arms and second degree burns. She had to be wrapped up like a mummy for a while, it was insane.
Since then I just don't go out in the daytime I guess. Or luck, maybe?
Of course now I've just hexed myself and I'll probably score a mad rash or something in the next day or two...
