Lloyd Cole was great. McCabes is such a small intimate venue that any show would be great to see there. No alcohol so no one is acting like retards. Mostly musicians and music industry people. I have been wanting to see him for 23 years. I wasn't disappointed.

Feeling down and terribly lonely. No matter how hard I try to make my self there are times that someones arms around you mean something. There are also times when the lack of those arms means even more.

Knowing that you won't lends itself a certain freedom though, ya know? You can be free to really be yourself or even a bit of someone else because it really doesn't matter in the long run. They'll never get the chance to figure out if your faking it or not!
There's one particular stripper I talked to for a bit, my money in her hand of course that I probably shouldn't see ever again though. I don't know what it is but every time I end up at a place like that and am a little (ok a lot) drunk I feel the need to try to get to know one of them a little. It's the brutal honesty of knowing it's a business transaction and that I'd never get anywhere with her I think so I just say fuck it and pour my heart out to them. They make decent, relatively cheap therapists. At least they act like they care until your time is up, heh heh. Not so unlike the real ones I suppose.
I've been kinda down myself lately too, lonely I guess so I suppose I took what I could get. It made me feel better having someone just to talk to though and I think she really appreciated someone just wanting to talk. In the morning I was a bit embarrased for unloading on a stranger, a stripper no less but what the hell anyway, eh?
There's worse things I could have done...
