Title: No Time For Schemes
I had a decent afternoon yesterday. Played my roommate's Heroes Unlimited game. The superhero group barged through a police line, then an army line, brought down a Cobra helicopter and avoided infantry squads just to get at the evil alien (whom at the time was happily popping choppers like popcorn).
We established a few things:
-Combatwise, we are well balanced.
-Intelligencewise, most of the heroes are as dumb as a sack of bricks.
-Most of the group is very reckless (another 'smart' member set off tripwires near the hostages, resulting in 22 dead).
The recklessness resulted in a emo moment for my character, being real sick of the carelessness the hero team has conducted themselves. After all, they could have checked for traps with one of our member's X-ray vision. They could have used the sewers to avoid the army instead of barging through a blockade. They could have been more covert because it was in their orders!
But they're superheroes. Who need restraint? After all, we did paste the alien.
Was woken up early today. The neighbor's kids decided to play knock knock ginger. So I was woken up by the doorbell... repeatedly. So, I just gave up and started watching the Flames/Avalanche game.
Flames are losing so far, but it's only the first period. I really think the Flames can pull off a playoff spot this year.
Still doing research on retro gaming. The arcade machine idea will need a small business loan, unfortunately. But I can shelf that idea for awhile. I'm just impatiently waiting for spring so that I can check out the garage sales for more inventory..
I'll make it work just yet. If my sister can sell handbags on e-bay, I can't see why I can't sell items as well. I do however have some successes. My roommate has an old Colecovision. If I can aquire that from him, I might have a start. Another friend has a Nintendo and tons of games. However, he might be loathe to let it go. Oh well, if I flash enough g's, he might give.
And so, my small business idea (now considered a lark) is taking shape.
