Hello again, and welcome to my blog!
I'm feeling better today. Had a good night's sleep. Had a good shower. Some breakfast....
Still a bit tired. But nightshift will do that to you. Hope to find something soon, because it feels like do or die.
Aya just critiqued my blog. Thanks Aya! I have much respect for her, because of her honesty and intelligence. Her advice to cheer up and keep looking upwards is helpful. All I have to do is keep applying it to myself.
Honestly, that's the hard part. The me part. I can be very bleak. But i'll try. It's either that... or a mundane life.
One thing I admire about her, she has guts. She is more comfortable with herself than I am of myself or anyone else. I've seemed to have adopted a rather Victorian sense of honour and decency. Somewhat different than the usual Suicide Girls point of view, since sexual freedom and expression seems opposite to such views, but in a way it is very... very gothic.
I'll keep the 'being a gentleman' part if I can.
And yes Aya, it's me. I'm reminded of a story at school, where we had a lecture from some dude about sexual health. He ask our gym class if anyone would like to... do it with a girl. Of course, many guys answered in the typical overtly charged testosterone way (myself included). Then the speaker said 'Ok, now would you let your best friend go out with your sister?'
Only one stupid retard spoke, saying 'Oh yeah' like a stoner.
The speaker than said, "You see why the reaction is so different? It's because you have respect for your sister."
It's strange, but this set the groundwork for all views on my female friends. Respect them always. My idea of respecting them is different than others, and the same as other people. However, it is respect all the same. I respect Aya, so that's why i'm struggling..... not... to... look...
Very difficult. *L*
Either way, thanks Aya! I needed some common sense smacked into me.
Since it can't all be about doom and gloom (i'll save that for later, or when my mood is absolutely sour), i'll switch to something a bit fun. A weekly ritual if you will...
WHY YOU SHOULD....
It's really about my favorite music, movies, tv, and any other stuff. I just want to tell you why I like it, and why you should give it a try.
WHY YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO ESTHERO
For those unenlightened, Esthero is a trip-hop band, famous for it's 1998 release "Breath From Another". It contained the hits "That Girl" (nothing like Shaggy and Maxi Priest's version), and "Heaven Sent". The lead singer, Jen-Bea Englishman (or just named Esthero), has a sensual voice that draws you in and wraps you up. Her lyrics are thoughtful and inciteful. I swear, I could relate to "That Girl" when I heard it (beside the 'girl' part).
Hell, listen to it yourself. I recommend their two hits, Heaven Sent and That Girl, and for something a little different, listen to "Weekends" By The Black Eyed Peas (featuring Esthero).
I just love it to death.
WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND.
Yet another Fox program that didn't survive the first season (yet should have lived on). Space: Above and Beyond takes you into a war between the Humans and the 'Chigs'. Very much like Wing Commander, but with the social commentary of most war films and the action of a great scifi. Too bad it was cancelled in 1995...
If you want it, I can send you a page with Bittorrent links. Problem is, seeders are hard to find, and I already put mine to disk.
WHY YOU SHOULD GET A MINIDISCMAN
They hold more songs. Better battery life. No skipping problems associated with CD's. And you can get them for as low as $175 canadian.
Sure, the minidiscs cost ten bucks for two, and the software's a b*tch, but it's worth it in the long run. Makes my job less boring. *L*
WHY YOU SHOULD....
Naw... next week. I'm bored now.

Nelly Furtado and she worked together back when Nelly was "Nell Star".
The song is called "I Feel You" and is without a doubt my personal favourite songs EVER. A great example of fusion/trip-hop. Go download it - it may be a little hard to find.
