....since I was on here. Over six months since I blogged and roughly three since I posted/commented.
Well the biggest changes have (as always) been with work. Back in November I was offered and accepted a new position that was created at work. I'm now the VDA (VMI Data Analyst) for our whole company; VMI stands for Vending Managed Inventory. In tooling distributorship customers purchase a crib which is basically a toolbox or helix (candy bar) that has a computer attached and manages their tooling needs. I help facilitate all that data for about 180 customers throughout Michigan and Ohio. Or as I explain to my people "I'm a semi-trianed, half-witted data monkey punching keys" lol.
Back when I took this position I was still at our Novi facility. But about 10 weeks ago they transferred me back to Warren which a hadn't been assigned to in over a decade. So 16 yrs with the company and I've come full circle lol. Plus I've been issued a laptop so now I'm mobile - and basically means I cause issues and controversy after hours and on the weekends lol.
My son is doing well in school. He still hits his stumbling blocks but he's definitely improved. What's interesting is some of that can be traced back to the fact he's left handed lol. I never realized how that could affect a developing child and their education until we started looking into why he may be having trouble in school. Oh he did his first diorama - did you know there are two main types of islands: continental and oceanic? :-) And after six+ years he's finally letting us read the "Complete Grimm's Fairytales" at night with his nightly reading. And these are the original, real deal stories like in "Cinderella" when the shitty stepsisters mutilate their feet to get them to fit in the silver slipper, then have their eyes pecked out by pigeons. Good times. ;-)
The missus is staying clean and apparently on the straight and narrow. She's gotten more involved with the NA community which has helped I think. And this week she'll be starting a job after a two year hiatus. Hopefully this'll mark a turning point, at least financially and keeping this household afloat.
I should be around here more often. Looks like a have a lot of posts, shoots and hopefuls to catch up on Lol.
