Its time for an update. I think a more general post would be more appropriate at this point than some rant about my Ex. All the drama is over and I talk to her maybe every few weeks and that's as far as it goes. Time to devote my energy to other things.
Work and school. Work and school. That's all there really is these days. School started back up right after Labor day and is now running full tilt. Precalculus and Sociology, oh what fun. I have a great teacher for precalculus; the same one I had for last semester's Algebra. Not only does he understand what he's trying to teach, he can also teach it which is always a plus. The Sociology I'm finding really interesting, so all in all, the prospects look good for the rest of the semester.
Work is still full time, but down to four days a week to make room for school. It sucks having to work full time and go to school, but I blew my free ride when I was younger. Now I have to support myself AND go to school instead of being supported by the parents. I wish I had been on the ball when I was younger but I just wasn't interested in college at all after my high school experience. Its taken me about fifteen years since that time to get my shit together and actually WANT to go and be interested in college. Being motivated makes all the difference when it comes to school. Since I've been back to school I've been getting straight As and that was unheard of when I was younger. So, in about two years I'll have an AS degree in Computer Science. Go me.
Let's see.....
Social life? Love life? Nope. Nothing but the sound of crickets there.
I'm hoping that now that I'm back in school, working and out of that horrible relationship that that part of my life will take care of itself. I'm guardedly optimistic for the first time in years that maybe I'm finally getting my shit together. Going to keep my fingers crossed.
