Went up and saw The Cruxshadows play in San Francisco a little over a week ago. The venue was one I'd never heard of before. It was called Boondock Bay. The website said it was a bar and restaraunt, so I went up a couple hours before the show thinking I could get some dinner. Unfortunately, that part of the venue was closed. Damn. However, I met a couple of really cool people and chatted with them while waiting to get into see the show. Also, wonders upon wonders, the singer for The Cruxshadows, Rogue, came out and chatted with us for about 45 minutes. This was an unexpected treat, let me tell you. Really nice guy, extremely appraochable and personable.
The show was excellent and the opening band, Ego Likeness, was excellent as well. It was nice to know all the songs The Cruxshadows played, last time I saw them I hadn't heard them or of them at all. I had such a wonderful time that the show was over before I even realized it. I can't wait to see them again next year.
A special thanks to Nick, who was one of the people who I talked with outside before the show. He took the following picture of myself and Rogue. I will remember to bring a camera next time. *laugh*
