I heard news today that completely bummed me out. There was a 5-year-old girl named Evelyn Christie that disappeared from her home about a week ago. They had what I heard was the biggest manhunt in this state's history to find her. Well, they finally found her, floating in the river. You hear about this stuff more and more these days, and normally it doesn't get to me. But she was 5, and under 4 feet tall, and how could someone hurt that? I guess I wanted this one to have a happy ending, where so many others haven't. I guess there's the case in Idaho where they saved an 8-year old girl, but her mom, mom's boyfriend and 9-year-old brother were beaten to death by her kidnapper, so that's not exactly a happy ending, either. I could really use a happy ending right about now.
