I'm tired. I didn't sleep enough last night. That sneaky gal Lotus issued a challenge to find her "hideous" birthmark, and I was dumb enough to go hunting for it at 11 at night when I had to work at 7. She later reveals that it was photoshopped out, and you could only see it through a pair of leopard-patterned underwear. Evil, I say. So I slogged through today like I was trying to walk through Jell-O and with a nasty head- and gut-ache to boot. Then I took a nap this afternoon. That was good.
Last night I went out to eat with a friend who was back in town for the day, and then we got ice cream and rented The Rules of Attraction. That movie's fantastic; so weird but so good. Not sure if it's better than American Psycho, though. The initial shock wore off after the first couple of times I'd seen it, and now I laugh straight through that movie. But anyway, it was good to hang out with my friend again. And this weekend, I'm going to go visit a guy who was my best friend through middle and most of high school. We never should have fallen away from each other, but we did. And then two weeks from now, I'm going to visit (and probably get shitfaced with) Zoe and the rest of my old college crew. Not that you needed to know all that, I just think this is the most I've had on my plate in a long time. Time to go take another nap.
On a completely unrelated note, I just saw a commercial for a more modern Barbie. The commercial played itself out like it was at a dance party, but the part I took note of was that there was no Ken, but the series of dolls included 2 guys named Hudson and Bryant. Sorry, Barbie, by the sounds of those names, Hudson and Bryant probably dig each other more than they do you.
