I just started reading Pattern Recognition by William Gibson again, after I put it down sometime last year. I'd forgotten just how amazing an author he is. He doesn't write the most utterly mindblowing sci-fi out there (okay, this book isn't sci-fi, but that's what he usually writes), but the way he can paint a scene or turn a phrase just floors me. Like who else would have thought of comparing jetlag to your soul being stranded outside your body, trying to catch up to you, trailing along after you on an umbilical cord because your soul just can't keep up with a plane? That's on page one. Wow.

I love Evasion by anon (Crimethinc). I have been missing out on good books recently.
