I just saw the director's cut of Donnie Darko tonight. It's not really any different, they do intersperse text from the Philosophy of Time Travel in the scenes, and it helps explain it a bit better. The movie's still great, and it always screws with me. I don't quite get it, but I want to say it's almost a retelling of the Jesus story. It always makes me sad, though, especially when they play "Mad World" at the end. Sad and reflective. Ah, well. Definitely worth the dollar I paid to go see it.
