Wow. Last night at the Burlesque was great. Unfortunately, I got there way too early. It was supposed to start at 8, and I thought I was boned in coming there at 7:45 or so, but no, didn't start until 10. Grr. So I sat and drank for two hours, then listened to the opening bands (who weren't bad) for another couple hours and drank some more. I spent way too much on booze, especially for a Sunday night. It was pretty crowded in there, but I got my way mostly to the front and was there for the best part: the chocolate sauce party. Snow was kind enough to rub chocolate sauce on my face, too. 
I hit the bathroom pretty shortly thereafter and washed my face, but didn't get enough off the sides, which earned me the nickname "Chocolate Sideburns" from a guy I was talking to. After the show, I hung around to thank the girls personally, but I'm cripplingly shy, and only got the chance to thank Siren (who looked adorable in her cat makeup) and Brandy. So if any of you girls remember a short, stocky, kinda homely blonde kid in a white shirt and blue hoodie around his waist (the hoodie took most of the sweet, delicious abuse) standing around and looking like he wanted to say something, that something was, "Thanks."
After that, I changed clothes out in the street, climbed in my car and fought unconsciousness for 2 hours for my drive home. Time of arrival: 4 AM. I'll feel like ass today, but it was well worth it.

Lucky bastard getting to go to the show...I wanted to so bad but ended up having to work and with Zoe gone to Chicago just ended up sitting around the house watching movies and drinking wine...... glad you had fun though Gabes is totally my old stomping ground....hope it hasn't fallen down yet since it is like the biggest hole in the wall rat nest of a bar....but it still rocks.... anyway yah.......
