Viva la Internet, I guess.
Okay, so the story goes a little something like this:
I had this friend in 7th/8th grade who I had a bit of a crush on. I think she sort of knew, but we were both awkward, wierd, nothing ever came of it and she moved on when we went to different schools for high school.
Okay, so fast forward what, like eight/nine years, to the present day. I get an email from her in the middle of last week. She got my email address from a friend that ran into her on Myspace and told her that, "Oh you live in SF? Billy does too now. You should try to get ahold of him." Well, we hung out last night and I remember why I had such a huge crush on her way back when. Only now she is ten times more gorgeous, and ten times cooler than I even thought she was back then...and both of us aren't as awkward
*ahem* 
...so anyway, it is just a totally wierd series of events that can make a friend be just a fifteen minute bus ride across town after nine years of not thinking you would ever cross paths again.
Oh and I almost forgot. The Xiu Xiu show was freakin' amazing. The place was packed and for good reason. But I always got to wonder why someone heckels the headlining act?!?! I mean, you payed to see Jamie Stewart and all the glory that is Xiu Xiu, so why do you sit at the bar and shout shit or throw ice? It was funny since Jamie did shoot down both hecklers and made them look like huge asses who had to walk out of the bar with their eyes to the floor.
