I'm too scared to notice, the path I chose is focused tight
crosshairs on, somethings wrong I shouldn't try to try
and baby it's the beer that's smiling, it ain't me
point me towards the door 'cause I've been trying to leave...

I think I would be a good conspiracy theorist. I seem to have a thing for reading way too much into everything and can manage to make anything connect in some convoluted way. I think I learned this during art school when I was trying to "sell" my projects by saying there was way more to them than there actually was.
Professor: No Billy, those are just some razor blades and a record player that you threw into a bathtub...stop trying to make your stuff so dark...and stop ripping off Witkin!
Anyway, the meat of this update is...I don't know what the living situation is gonna be and I need to give an answer in the next couple days. Move to where you ask? Well I was afraid to mention the town because I think evil_homer will come over and shoot me for thinking of it since he just moved from there, and knows all about the downsides of the place. Okay, so the place is Chico, California.
Here is where the interactive journal comes in and you give me your opinion. I will take them all to heart because heaven knows I need something to throw this indecision.
This town is the cliche "frat boy" college town. I mean drinking is one of my favorite past times but these guys are just jugheads...and the majority of the girls out there dig these guys and don't have much going on themselves. Okay, the draw for me to go there, however, is that I have some good friends out there that I can move in with for almost half what I am paying now. I would have my own room rather than sharing a one bedroom like I am now. Plus the people I am moving in with all go to school there so I would be around people who understand the term, "I need to study." Rather than people that don't have to do shit as soon as their workday ends. That, and I would get all homebody-esque time that my geekyness has missed this last semester.
On the other hand. I will be leaving SF. Although I live on the edge of Daly City I am five minutes away from the SF State and 20 minute (no traffic...yeah right) from the city. There is so much here to do when I have free time, energy and money. Shows, bars, record stores. But, since I prefer nights at home most of the time I don't really take advantage of all there is but am still paying high rent for a small room...I mean, I could do the same thing with lower rent.
So the question! Move to a less than desirable town for the next 1.5 years to finish school, be able to see an occasional good show (Son, Ambulance just played there and Mirah is playing next week), try to find the good people there, and make bi-weekly trips into the city. OR, stick it out here and try to take advantage of what I can in the only corner of the city that my budget can handle and get by with the cramped living space and go out as much as my income will allow.
That is a really condensed version of the pro's and con's
Man, if you all give my the same answer and then I decide on the complete opposite...I'm gonna feel like an ass. Either way though this account is staying so we can patch it up from either local
Oh, and evil_homer is still welcome to shoot me. All of you are for that matter. I'll have my friend scene print a "I Shoot Billyboy...and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" shirt and the first one to do it wins it! The way I see it we all win. My decicion will have made itself, and you wil have a spanking new shirt.

EDITED TO SAY:
I realized I can't even commit to do something for even less than two years!!! Jeeze, lord knows I will never commit to puchasing a house, getting married or having a kid (well unless there is a freak accident I don't plan on that last one happening anyway.) Is there anyone out there that would just let me be their shadow...I swear I won't complain even if you do really dumb stuff. Just as long as I can't second guess myself.

Are you trying to give me subliminal "be a vegan" messages? Haha. It's ok. I don't really eat meat much. I am a bread girl. I live off of bread. Poptarts. Cereal. Pasta. Yep. Anyway, the CD package and the sticker on the back of the last tape lead me to believe you want me to join you in the vegan kingdom.
I already have "From a Basement on the Hill." Did you not see the ever-exciting picture of me a few journals back shortly after I purchased it?
I also have the first album. My sister burned it for me a couple weeks ago.
But that's OK. Now I can have one for the car and the home. Except I don't exactly have my license or a car. But still. I love you and it's not your fault so don't feel badly about it.
I want to make you some more stuff. But in order to do this, I need you to do me a favor: can you e-mail me the track list on the CD I already sent you? That way I'm sure not to duplicate any music you might already have.
By the way: "Atmosphere" is my all-time favorite Joy Divison song.
OK, this comment was long. I should've just e-mailed you. *shrug*
