I've got another song for you. It's a bit country, so it may not be for everyone, but this is more about the instrumental.

I've imagined more than once to be able to just pick up an instrument and be able to play like this. I give you The Guitar by Guy Clark.

This song is by a lovely lady who goes by Devil Doll. Enjoy.

I know I just posted Delta Rae and I'm sure that anyone who actually enjoyed them, has already looked into them. But this song popped up on my Pandora this morning and I hadn't realized how much I like it. It's also a completely different type of song from Bottom of the River. Let me know what you think. 🤔

I like it

I realized I haven't posted any new favorite music lately. Right now I have a few new favorites, but the one I'll share now popped up a while back. The band is called Delta Rae and all their music seems to be different, but this is my favorite.

bookcouple:
I love this song and the video
lonewolfd:
☺️ It's definitely good stuff.

"A journey will have pain and failure. It is not only the steps forward that we must accept. It is the stumbles. The trials. The knowledge that we will fail. That we hurt those around us.

But if we stop, if we accept the person we are when we fall, the journey ends.

That failure becomes our destination.

To love the journey is to accept...

Hey everyone who actually reads my ramblings.

I've been out of the loop for a bit. I hadn't been participating in much and let my membership lapse. But I came back to look for a picture I thought I uploaded here and remembered everything I missed. This is also the only only place I can vent and ramble on with out anyone I know personally...

Well, the adorkable girl thing isn't happening. Things got a little weird. We took some time avoiding one another for a week, because she got wind that I liked her and she already had a lot going on, so she cut ties. It sucked, but we just talked this morning, she said she doesn't date co-workers, which is something that actually occurred to me as a possibility, but it looks like we can at least pull a solid friendship from the dust. So that's that.

I'm back, baby! Let my subscription lapse a bit, but I decided to start it up again, 'cause why not? I guess I'll hang out a while long. Got stuff to share...maybe...we'll see.

Hey everyone who actually reads my drivel. I know I don't post much, but everything's been pretty groovy lately. Not a whole lot to complain about. So I thought I'd share a new music interest with everyone.

Caravan Palace is an electro jazz band I've acquired a new fondness for. I came across and interesting music video of theirs that I felt needed sharing. So...

So for those of you who don't know, I've been at my job for a little over a year. Previously I was working in residential treatment for kids. Basically, it's a facility that house adolescents for extended periods of time. These are kids that have psychological and behavioral problems. Anyway, I spent nearly ten years in this facility. It was rough and the programming just...

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest it was just about money. Naturally, there's other factors involved. Just that if you have two jobs that kick your ass equally, you may as well get paid as much as you can. Of course, it makes more sense to get paid less for the "right" job than getting paid a fortune for a job that makes you miserable.
lonewolfd:
I didn't think you were suggesting that, Siv. And I do agree...if it was a straight trade off to go from Cleo (the old job) to this new job, that would be a no brainer. However, the job in between, my current one, is not working with kids, just psychotic adults. I've been with them for about a year and three months and there's been one assault and physical management that I've been involved with since then. Working with kids, it would be twenty times that number...minimum. So yeah, the one in between isn't terrible...the pay isn't bad, they're just having their own internal issues...nothing that really directly affecting me.

So thanks to my favorite band, I've discovered this group that I'm really starting to dig. Here are Heathen Apostles.
