a person quit (aka walked out) of work today. Now, not only do I get to do my usual stuff, but I get to do that stuff I was being taught by myself. Joy.
Friday's mega millions is approz 250 million-- higher than the lottery that was won in richmond indiana (which happens to be the area a bunch of us were at last weekend)
if i won, it would certainly help to ease my financial concerns - and would elimiate the need for me to look for another job.
-----------
I wonder what the weekend will hold. I know i have school stuff to do... and i have to see what kind of finances i have after rent is paid..... so we will see....

I hate it when people walk out.. or don't show up! When I worked at Noah's House, I had been there for about a year and was just put on new hours.. I was going to opening and getting off at 3.. instead of closing (which I hated) and the girl who was suppose to close..and actually my Teacher Assistant walked out! Left me alone.. with about 30 preschoolers! Meaning I woiuld have to be there from 6 to 6.. which was frustrating at first.. but it ended up being this way for the entire summer! I worked 6 to 6 5 days a week! Sure I got some help from little 18 year olds who spent more time talking on their cell phones and visiting with the other 18 year olds that was suppose to be working
It was like I was watching 18 year olds and litte 3 year old kids with mental issues (one girl would go to the bathroom on the floor and play with it.. another little boy beat me up daily..it was awesome, and one was evil.. I tell he had the devil living in him..lol) It was VERY stressful..I swear I will bitch slap, or kick them in the balls if I hear someone say working at a childcare center is glorified babysitting. OK.. I got carried away.. lol. Oh and I did walk out of that job too.. but it was because I asked for REAL help for 3 months, and I worked 60 hours a week somedays with NO break!! The bosses just kept saying that couldn't get everyone there own personal assistants, and helpers yet on a daily basis there would be 3 or 4 workers standing in the hallway talking.. and visiting!! They couldn't come in.. I got so tired of them thinking that taking care of 30 kids by myself (which by the way if state would have come in..they would have gotten in BIG trouble for me being alone with that many kids) was suppose to be easy! And they couldn't understand why we didn't get crafts done, or book time done.. so I walked out.. and let them know it's not as easy as it looked. They actually called me back a few months later to help.. it seems when you work with mentally ill children they get attached.. and they wasn't coping well..I said no. I got to vent..lol
