Troyfest

Troyfest is a small festival held in Hay on Wye on the May bank holiday weekend. This year was its 3rd year and my boyfriend Tom, who is a chef, got asked to run the catering for it. It was absolutely mental. It is set in the house and grounds of Baskerville Hall, where Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the Hound of the Baskervilles.



It involved:

1000 people
A fuck ton of food
Insane ammounts of drugs (not my thing but most people there were on something)
Far too much drink
Balloons
Secrets rooms and passages in the house
Craig Charles doing a DJ set while completely off his tits
Swimming pool, sauna and shower rooms
Fire works
Giant inflatables
Face painting
Mix of dance, trance, house, funk, ska, punk, raggae music

It was such a learning curve and we have been asked back next year to do it again which should be awesome. Think I will post it as an event in SGUK and have a jolly good weekend with anyone who wants to come. If you are willing to work in the catering tent for at least 10 hours then you will get free entry for the weekend. Let me know if anyone is interested
