ok, its coming to my attention that if I'm going to do this SG thing I need to get off my ass and do it. But thats just a side note on the obvious.
In other news, today is my first day home in close to two hair raising weeks spent in Portland and Denver during which I was nearly arrested twice.
Powells in Ptown never ceases to amaze me. I bought a ton of books, beautiful books, an old leather bound Charles Baudelaire's Evil Flowers with his poems and drawings, a Rilke, some Lydia Lunch, and this neat old book of Japanese folk poetry for my comrade. Then of course there was Every Day Music where I bought a million used CDs, things you cant find here in the sticks cheap: Mott the Hoople, T.REx, Pain Teens, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Wanda Jackson, Lydia Lunch (I'm on a Lydia Lunch kick), The Stray Cats, ect. Also saw two films, "Lady with a Nasty Voice" about the glorious Wanda Jackson, and a brilliant Patti Smith movie that I don't remember the name of but was incredible and inspiring.
Then in good old denver I tagged along to a Killers concert with my pal who has a spare ticket. There were bubbles, it was grand.
And tomorrow its back to classes as usual. I need to bath and unpack. I'm SO happy to be home, I think I never want to leave again.
