listening to the requiem
i've been working everyday for the past month. i'm also working everyday this week. i'm so beat. my knees are killing me. and my body is on a shitty sleep schedule.
i can't wait till i have my own wheels and i can get out of this job. if i can find like an office job or something which will let me have flexible hours in the fall that would be really cool.
the good news is that mentally/emotionally, i'm in a really good place. justin came over to get his stuff today, and there was no awkwardness. from experience, awkwardness is the kiss of death to the 'just friends' experience. so i have hope for this one.
and people still continue to confound me with their stupidity on a daily basis.
"What's mint gum?"
or
"I'm sorry sir, our credit machine is broken."
hands me the card
"Sir, I can't run your card, the machine is broken."
"Ok" just stands there
"Sir, you have to pay cash."
"Ok" just stands there smiling at me, making no move to take the card.
how are these people still breathing? how do they manage to dress themselves? it's scary.

edit:
i was just looking at pictures of my tattoos on my back. like really close up looking. and i realized 2 things.
one, that my first tattoo, my celtic triangle is horrible. the shading is spotty, one of the lines is bairly there, another one of the lines is crooked, and a couple of the letters are spotty. i never realized that before because the only way i can see it is in the mirror at a bad angle. if your friend has a bad tattoo that they can't see, please let them know! don't let them walk around with bad art on their bodies.
two, i just realized how fucking awesome my tattoo artist is. obviously it's not the guy who did my first one. my upper back is so beautiful now.
i love my fairies and my sun/moon so much and cannot wait to see how beautiful my backpiece will be.
also, i'm going to have joe fix that damned triangle for me.
and for those who want to know, my artist is Joe Robbins at Empyre Tattoo. i know they're corny, but joe and bino are my boys. they've never done me wrong.
k that's all.
oh, and i really am that white.
