do you ever look around where you live, and realise it just isn't your space?
i did that last night at about 8pm, and this morning i got up at 5am, and started working on stained glass lamp shade things for my house.(for the lights on the ceiling)
my mother started building church windows, and windows for peoples homes, and buisnesses the year i was born. so, i kind of grew up with this particular form of art. it's fun, frustrating, and way cooler than buying stuff to hang on my walls that i didn't make.
realizing that i have the skills to create functional art has kind of been like waking up. i cook, i build houses, i do things with my hands that require skill, but i get payed for it, and the finnished product is for someone else. doing something for me feels good. the end.

I took a stained glass class up in Eagle River about 5 years ago and I loved it--I've always meant to do some on my own. Maybe you work tomorrow night (Wed)? I have class until about 9 PM--maybe I can stop by. Let me know. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow, we'll do it some other time.
