yeah, so i did it. i took a part time prep cook job, at my favorite all purpose restaurant in anchorage. it's called cafe amsterdam.
cooking is so much fun, and so completely different from learning to run heavy equiptment, and building houses. which is what i do the rest of the time.
i was sitting there drinking a beer i'd never heard of, from a brewery in europe, talking to the owner, and i realised how much i miss working with food. i start training next week, and then it's a 3 nights a week gig.
i need to save some money, i think it's time to get out of town for a week or so.
