I felt like a total stoner at work today because I spent the first half hour of my day making a step by step list of my what I have to do for my new job. I didn't feel as bad when it turned out to be 32 steps. I do them 6 times in a row everyday. I have gone from hating my job to loving it basically over night and it looks like they are going to be putting me on payroll and giving me benefits soon if this all goes well. Which it seems to be - I happened to have my list open when my new boss ( half the reason I am so happy, I now have an uber-cool guy to report to as opposed to one with zero managerial skills) came in and he was very impressed, apologized for not thinking of making it himself. He seems very impressed with me in general, apparently I am more competent than he is used to people being. I spend ALL my time on the computer, its not too surprising I picked up FTPs and Dreamweaver quickly. I used to be really into digital photo design so Photoshop is a sinch but... he doesn't know any of this. He thinks of me as the only data entry drone in the company. Suddenly I know as much if not more about computers than he does. Probably not more but I imagine there are things I can do that he has no idea about and vice versa. Either way, it is an entirely awesome job. I have constant internet access and a whole buncha neat programs on my comp but I don't get distracted at all! Its crazy.

It took Moke about two years with me to get me drinking some of his beer when he had. Then we went to the Bier Markt and - wow - I am hooked! Fruli is the best tasting alcoholic beverage I have had the pleasure of enjoying - here or in the Caribbean. Its a strawberry wheat beer that is unfiltered and unpasteurized ... - so basically its a strawberry beer smoothie. And its available at the Beer Store now which is totally freakin awesome only in 24s kegs and single bottles. The one near me of course only has kegs.

We already know what we are going to name it - we're going to the Humane Society once Moke is done classes and we are going to pick out whichever (short-haired) kitten looks the most like a "Sortex" . One of our friends found this little small that says "Sortex Feed Bin" so we are going to put it on the wall over its bowl. Seems as good a way as any to pick a name for a cat. I like to let Chaos guide my hand when I can. Otherwise is it more probably it will guide my hand when I would rather it didn't and that never goes well. But anyway - yay kitten! It will be cute and silly and funny to watch Turgy play with it. (of course not in a malicious way, I think she will end up mothering the damn thing insufferably quite honestly... maybe - she is a hard puss to predict)
