Hello, my dear readers!
Like I told before, I went to a medical research (or study, as you preferer) this sunday and monday. Nothing so honorable as the desire of helps the medicine to advance; I have very economical interest in this study.
I guess someone can say that I'm taking a not so ethical way to make money, but I really don't care. I've been working in Canada for an year and a half, working hard, without good results; so, now I'm taking a short cut, and hoping to get a job that leave me time enough to continue doing the studies. If I'm lucky, I'll make enough money working to save all the money from the studies.
About the study properly told, I had no problems, thanks to my good shape (who told that hard work doesn't give profits?) and huge ugly veins. I'm not sure if it's something to brag about, but I was the only one to finish the study without any side effects or problems with the catheter. This was just the first part of the study; I have to go back next sunday, sleep over till next monday, give another 19 blood samples and that's it: CAD$ 800.00 on my hand. It'll be just in time to pay my rent and credit card, so probably won't last enough to see the next month...
In the mean time, I have to get 7 kg havier, in order to take part of the studies in the other clinics. This is a great challenge, once you realise that I haven't ever been as havy as I'm right now (54kg)...
XOXO,
L.A.
