Ok...here's a pink eye update. I called my doctor on Wednesday to let him know it's not getting any better. He told me that if it's not better by Friday, then call him. Today's Friday and it wasn't better so I called him and went in for a 10:45 appointment. After paying another copay, I saw my doctor and he referred me to an opto...well...an eye doctor...which was right upstairs. That appointment was at 2:00. I went to that appointment...paid yet another copay....nice right.. The nurse first wanted to check my vision and asked me to read the lowest line I could read. Of course I said, "Made In China"...got that from a movie...I've always wanted to do that. It didn't have that much of an affect...and if I can remember correctly it didn't in the movie either. Anyway....she told me that it's a severe case of pink eye....glad she cleared that up....but also both corneas (i'm sure I tortured the spelling) had spots on them. She then gave me another prescription and told me not to use the medication that my doctor prescribed me (which wasn't free) on Monday. She then told me to come back Monday of next week (you guessed it...another...damn...copay) to see how they are reacting to the medication...which is some sort of steroid. Maybe it's one of the performance enhancement drugs that will allow me to see 5 miles away Oh well....let's hope that I won't need another visit (copay) nor another prescription (copay) after Monday. So glad I have insurance....
