Goodbye, I guess! My membership will be up soon, it's due to finish this month.
I cancelled my credit card after I paid it off last time, and didn't take into account how much I actually used it for- the fees for this site, for one.
I joined in 2006 out of curiosity, and for a fondness of women. I stayed on after that due simply to the amazing people I have met here, some random friendly folk, some people that makes going to meets that much more fun, and a few special folk that I'd like to hope I stay friends with for life.
Since my first meet in Edinburgh, I've had a great time meeting new people from both SGScotland and SGUK, and I've not once had a meet I've not enjoyed. I never thought I would be someone to make friends through the internet, a couple of years ago it all seemed rather an odd way to do things, but it goes to show, doesn't it?
I will miss being on here, keeping up with people- even though recently I've not been as good at doing so as I should've been- and generally enjoying this little escape from the real world that has become quite important to me. Some of you have changed the way I look at life these days, and I'd like to think I've made at least a bit of a positive impact on some of you guys too. Through my blog entries, I've shared good times, bad times, downright scary times, but all my times. It's always been quite a comforting thought that no matter what is on my mind, one of you will be there to talk sense to me, laugh with me, or laugh at me!
I'll miss that.
I may be back, I won't rule it out.
We'll see.
I think this is where I leave an inspiring quote or some such affair...
'Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit.'
Oscar Wilde
If it all goes quiet at this end, you know where you can find me.
