Just watch Ed Bradley's interview of Bob Dylan on 60 Minutes. "nothing is revealed..."
Last night I saw Al Kooper perform at the Iron Horse in Northampton, MA. Kooper of course was Dylan's right-hand keyboard man during his most influential period. Decent show, the guy was in surprisingly good voice. Funny guy too. Most of the instrumentation came via a Korg Triton, which just ain't the same as a Hammond B3. My old friend Dan and his friend Shannon came out to enjoy the show as well.
If you ever see a show at the Iron Horse, get there shortly after the doors open. We got there right around 7 and luckily there was one table left (upstairs) to accomodate our threesome.
Northampton is a great town, by the by. The place has interesting people, loads of places to eat, coffeehouses galore and the occasional record shop along the way. Wish I had hung out there more in years past. The parking garage was a royal pain in the arse but I did happen upon this sign:
File under Jesus_Cheapass: This morning in Hadley I went to a Dunkin Donuts and got 15 percent off for showing my college ID. I graduated in 1999 And people wonder why I still carry that thing around...
Skiing at Okemo Friday was fun, a bit scrapey in places but things will get better.
How were your respective weekends?
