So the long weekend is over, and I'm back in New Hampshire. These return trips to Central Mass are always good for the soul. Had a chance to snap a couple of photos in West Boylston this morning. The big landmark there is the abandoned "Old Stone Church" which sits beside the Wachusett Reservoir. Here 'tis:
and some remnants of foliage:
Love New England in the fall.
Lunched with a program director of a Worcester radio station, we traded war stories and ideas and crap. Plus, he bought. Dad hooked me up with a care package ("youneedthis, youneedthat, notakeit") and stopped by to see my mother and grandparents. Waiting for me there was a Sox ALCS tshirt. Slamalamadingdong. I'm supposed to take their sofa at some point so they can get a new one and I get a, well, less old one.
I'm back, the heat's on, I'm at the pinnacle of scrubbiness at this moment, and the soundtrack to my evening is Miles Davis "In a Silent Way." Before that it was the Violent Femmes' debut album, which I finally bought over the weekend. Very easily getting into it.
Aside from the photos, this is the dullest entry I've submitted for a while. No tales of daring exploits, reproductive organs, or fender-benders. I'll try and spice it up a bit next time, kids.

those pics are SO pretty. it makes part of me wish i had actually gone to college in NH like originally planned
That Kenmore Square comment reminds me of this one time I was on a date with this guy who was way older than me. He had his guitar with him because he was coming from a friend's house...he didn't bring enough money for the ride home and I was broke so he just whips out his guitar and sits on the grund in Harvard Square and starts playing. I was 17 and freaking out and like are you serious?
What part of NH is West Lebanon in? Other than West.
