It's Wednesday afternoon, the humidity is gone, it's gorgeous out, and I'm still inside for some reason. Why?
The weather ended up being fantastic to catch a ballgame last night, my first time at Fenway Park in three years. I went with an old friend/co-worker of mine who I hadn't seen in a year and a half or so, and we had a blast. Warm cheap beer, bad hot dogs, soggy fries, and the Red Sox winning 10-7, all priceless.
Even better was witnessing the constant updating of the hand-operated out-of-town scoreboard. It seemed every five minutes, the Indians kept adding to their total over the Yankees, they ended up winning 22-0!
We even rode the T, in order to avoid the Boston U move-in double/triple parking situation. First time I've used the T since living in the city, and I must say I was shocked at how clean everything was. Of course, when I lived in Boston, every station smelled of urine. Ah, how times change. God, I miss living in that city.
