I took your idea/challenge, and made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing yesterday. I do not liek red velvet cake or cream cheese icing, but they went over well. I do not believe that red velvet cupcakes will ever replace fried chicken as race food, but they will be at the track tomorrow.

There was a letter to the editor in the Post a few weeks back complaining that Twilight is the favorite book of college students. I did not understand this. I never read Plato for fun. You need escapes, and reading fiction of fun is a good one. We all read Tom Clancy back in the day, though my favorite was Clavel's Tai-Pan. My copy of Twilight has discussion questions.
I had no interest in Twilight, since it was panned in the reviews on Amazon. Probably Buffy fans like me. Then a beautiful woman told me to read it, and my policy is do whatever a beautiful women tells me to do, so I picked up a copy and read it, and did not think much of it. I picked up New Moon right before I left for Cabo in May, but did not have a chance to read it, since I was so busy defusing the land mines between my mother and Aisha. When I did, I really liked it. I understood exactly where Bella was coming from, perhaps because I had been dumped like that, and it took me literal years to recover and start dating again. I will probably pick up the third book this week or next.
