I've written myself three 'to do' lists.
Home, Uni, SG.
Each has 10-20 jobs listed...
I'm definitely panicking about uni, mid year folio is due in 10 days, and I've barely scratched the surface. So I'm spending one more full day editing SG sets before I succumb to my uni due dates.
Probably a stupid idea, but I can't concentrate on uni stuff with all the sets still on my agenda to get out!
I've got two prepped sets waiting for me!
(Prepped: Images culled down between 40-60, lens corrections done, exposures fixed, white balance fixed, colour toning selected, all images cropped.)
Prepping the sets is half the work. Once everything is ready, I go through one by one and open them in Photoshop, and start the finer detail work. Remove blemishes, lighten shadows under eyes, remove stray hairs, edit out clothing tags, lint balls, bruises, broken/chipped nails, feet and teeth cleaning, removing stray eyebrow hairs, removing crust from piercings, lessening the shine that begins to appear on the face halfway through the set, etc, it goes on and on.
I find I have to do it all in one go when I get to the Photoshop stage. Switching sets, or taking a week break can kill the editing flow during this part of my editing routine. Remembering what's a freckle, and what's an emerging pimple... Remembering how lightly or severely to edit a particular part... I just have found I need to sit and do it within two days max.
So tomorrow I'm going to be fully photoshopping approximately 110 photos. Wish me luck.
And I'm sick again. I'm going to have to factor in a trip to the doctors for some antibiotics too I think, what a crappy time to start showing signs of tonsillitis.
