the last 24 hours have been really exciting, two of my sets went up and they're both doing well!
The Siren featuring the incredible @sammysiren was shot 11 months ago!
It was Sammy's first nudie shoot, and it went exceptionally well! Later that afternoon we shot another set, something a bit more casual, which was named Awakening, and it was edited super quickly and ended up being submitted well before the original first set!
It's done exceptionally well for a first set, do check it out!
In the last 11 months, I've come a long, long way with photography and editing.
One of my favourite sets, CVLT to come from this year so far was with my friend @angelgore at @shark_'s house. This was one of the easiest sets I've ever shot and edited, it came together so easily, and it's doing really really well in MR at the moment, at the 24 hours point we were sitting at 1,400+ Hearts and 300+ comments, which is one of my fastest loved sets so far!
It's also hands down the cheekiest, kinkiest set I've ever done, I fucking love Angel for being so fearless, she's one of the most fierce, loyal people I've ever met, and I can't wait to collab with her again in the very near future!
Next up to appear in Members Review in 3 weeks is my lady @twitchling in One Hundred Years of Solitude:
And within a few hours of the set above going live, my set I'm most anticipating to see come out is @shark_'s Diamond Eyes.
This is one of my very favourite sets I have EVER shot, and will have ever shot. I can't really explain why exactly, but something about that day was really special.
We didn't plan this set at all. All we knew was that it was going to involve a bathtub. @shark_ has become one of my closest friends this year, I have no idea how that happened either. This year has been full of yoloing it, and things just working out.
I truly can't think of anyone more deserving to go pink, she's been on the site forever, she's interesting, she's hilarious (I've actually lost count of the times I've laughed so hard I've cried at something she's said or done), she's intimidating and I'm scared of her 80% of the time, and I'm lucky to have someone so loyal and down to earth in my life.
My photography ideas are never too crazy for her, problem is they're usually not crazy enough. She motivates me to be a better photographer, and less of a wimp.
When I'm unnecessarily sooking; she tells me off, when I'm being irritating; she tells me to shut the fuck up, when I'm too hard on myself; she tells me to chill out, and when I need to vent about something ridiculous she rolls her eyes but listens anyway, because for some reason she likes my company almost as much as I like hers.
Watch out for this one, it's special.
I've probably published too many previews of that set, but whatever. it's up in 3 weeks anyway, get excited!
I'm now off to my friends place for a night of wine and Game of Thrones, I've been staying off facebook because I'm seeing SO many 'OMG GAME OF THRONES!' type statuses, I know Eddie and I are in for a killer episode..
This will be my first night off editing in a week, I've got this hunger to keep going and smashing them out as I've been doing all week, but I know I need to slow down and have a small break to avoid burning out.
I had a chat to my uni teachers today and expressed my fears that I'm falling behind, and they were really encouraging, and told me accepting paid photography jobs is more important, and that we'd work it out if I can't manage to have all my assignments handed in on their due dates.
It's really eased my mind knowing that.
Not that I was intended to slack off an fall behind, but priorities... I'm in for one hell of a busy 6 months.
Next big blog post will be my Brisbane Shootfest blog, which will be accompanied by previews of ALL 16 sets I shot, plus extras!
But for now, it's time for a rest!
