It was a little hard to pick just one favorite game, but after some pondering, I figured my life wouldn't be the same without Deus Ex franchise. When the original one came out about 15 years ago, it took me some time to get into it - my first impression was "good", not "amazing", as the game was lacking some minor visual aspects, something that I would have considered important at that precious age. However, the non-linearity and realism, combined with an amazing storyline, availability of multiple approaches to finish your missions, and let's not forget multiple conspiracy theories, many of which draw parallels to the real world, have totally melted my gamer heart. Plus, who doesn't love cyberpunk and futuristic dystopian themes? The second game in the franchise, titled Deus Ex: Invisible War, was a bit of a disappointment, but mostly only because people were expecting something of the same level as the original game, winner of almost every award and one of the best games of the decade, and were instead presented with "merely" another decent game. The third installment in the series, however, did not disappoint. Who would ever be disappointed when the main character looks like this?
I can't wait for another installment in these mindblowing series; unfortunately, nothing has been officially announced yet.
In other news, I just began to recover from yet another nasty cold/flue episode. I have no clue why I have been getting sick so often. I need to get my shit together, there is so much on my to-do list and I feel absolutely no motivation to get out of bed!
