I know I have not blogged in a while, SG. The reason is that there has been a lot on my mind, and I just struggle to channel all my emotions into a written post. This blog is NOT going to be about lingerie pictures. Many of you might have heard about what's been happening lately in Ukraine (which remains my native country even though I am a citizen of the US). The people have arisen against a corrupt, unjust, mafia-like government, which has been openly lying and stealing billions from people's tax money for personal gain, which has allowed horrible injustices to happen its people, and which is directly responsible for covering up many crimes committed against Ukrainian people by relatives and friends of government officials. There are many details to this, and right now I'm not gonna go over each detail why people are angry, you can google it, it's all over the news. As a result of police and special forces attacks on Ukrainian people, there is around 100 people dead, and many hundreds injured. As of right now, the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has given Ukraine's ex-"president" Victor Yanukovich (the usurper responsible for the crimes committed against my people) some sort of an unofficial political asylum, after he cowardly fled the country, scared shitless. Not only is he hiding a criminal from well-deserved justice, he has also ordered his military forces to mobilize on the streets of the Crimean peninsula, a territory officially belonging to Ukraine that has a Russian military base. Putin is currently trying to start a violent conflict in Ukraine in order to satisfy his imperialist fetish - he is doing the exact same thing he did to Abkhazia, Ossetia, and Transnistria. I am hoping with all my heart there will be no more bloodshed. We have century-long history of fighting for our freedom and we will not let another imperialist force interfere in our affairs. Right now I would like to take a moment to honor those who have lost their lives fighting for justice in this horrible fight. I am attaching photographs that caption the events that have been taking place in the past few months in Ukraine.
Слава Україні! Героям слава!
Also, I am aware that some Western mass media are attempting to make look like it's pretty much a conflict between the East and the West of Ukraine. It is not. It is a conflict between people who are tired of being abused and the government who just can't stop abusing its citizens.
