Been reworking my portfolio...which is to say I've been staring at my own work for too long.
My figure drawings and my portraits and the stuff I do when I'm just fucking around, those aren't so bad. But the renderings I put out for the actual shows....those kinda blow. The massive jump in quality never really bothered me before....becasue I always thought of the illustrations as little more than a tool of communication. The art was the show - the art was what actually went up on stage.
But all the literature for this program and this interview seems to suggest that they are looking primarily for graphic ability.....not the ability to craft a graphic idea into tangible reality.
Fuckers.
