man i have been a lazy little so and so this long weekend! however it has been great. it has been good to just laze around and do nothing...even tho at some points i've been getting extremely bored...it still has been great. been able to catch up on sleep and finally get over my damn sickness that i had last week and the week before.

all i have done is read my book (Dean Koontz - By the Light of the Moon....getting really weird...but really good), cleaned up a little, gave myself a facial, painted my nails a purtey blue and that is about it. Went to family friends for dinner Friday nite and had the best tea. Seafood...mmmm...mmmm. was FANTABULOUS!!! we finally got to eat this ginormous red emperor that my step-dad caught on boxing day and it was VERY tasty! i've been waiting since boxing day to eat the little sucker and damn it was worth the wait! we also had crab and prawns (garlic and in salad) and various other things. i was so stuffed awards. it was great!

saturday i did nothing...just lazed about and did some cleaning....thats about it. and today i went to my grandparents and had another huge feed of seafood. i love seafood...mmm...mmm. PLUS grandpop gave me a crab and prawns to take home...hehehe. so now i have two (or three...can't remember) crabs in my freezer and prawns. keeping those for a nice day biggrin

my uncle also gave me (to loan i think) two books. The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown and Moonlight Becomes You - Mary Higgins-Clarke. My uncle has been itching to give me the da vinci code to read as he reckons i'll love it...but we'll see. it sounds ok. and i like mary higgins-clarke...well some of her stuff...so that book should be good to. i'm nearly finished my other book so it is great to get some newies i haven't read yet smile

tomorrow is going to be washing my poor little car day. he needs a wash sssooo bad. plus i'll finish cleaning and do some washing and the general tidy up around. sometimes i feel like i'm always cleaning...but i guess that is what i get if i don't pick up after myself whatever also have to write this job application that is due Friday. i hate writing job applications...but...if i want a chance to get out of my shit job and get this one...i gotta do what i gotta do. plus i gotta keep thinking...more experience for Brisbane biggrin

i have also had some bad news this weekend. i found out the my great uncle passed away on Thursday (i'm always the last person to damn well find out about this stuff...mum "forgot" to tell me). the funeral is on saturday at caboolture...so going to try and go down. i remember my great uncle fairly well as he had the best sense of humor and i think my grandma (it was her brother) would appreciate it if we went. he died of bowel cancer (i think) and has been sick for a while so in a way it is good that he is finally no longer in pain. really wish i had of gotten to see him before he passed away tho.

well that is my llllooonnnggg update for the weekend. hope everyone has a good one.

kirst kiss

it is so not fair. i can't leave water in my kettle because i get an attack of teeny tiny ants! i wake up today (monday) to find teeny tiny ants running all over my bench in the kitchen into my kettle. i open the kettle lid and there are heaps that have "committed suicide" into the water...and then a billion running in and out collecting water. dagnamit!! it is so annoy. damn teeny tiny ants!! mad

aaronsrod:
I love Dean Koontz, have you read the Book of Counted Sorrows? it is his collected works of poetry.
I will be reading The Da Vinci Code on the plane to the US tomorrow so we will have to compare notes when I get back.
I'll drink a toast to your great uncle may he rest in peace.

see you when I get back.

Try leaving a sacrificial can of water outside the kitchen window. The Insect Gods will thank you
