God bless Ikea and all its glory!!! I love it so! Kt came to see me on friday and we went to Ikea, which was fantastic. It never gets old, you can go around looking at all the crazy furniture, eat a hot dog and fries for 1.50 with a refillable drink (which in itself can be fun) then go and buy lots of crazy sweddish food likw pasta in the shape of a moose. Love it. Then after our chair races and lounging on the round bed we went to Toys R Us. I dont know why, it was depressing seeing all the toys I used to play with when i was younger and seeing how they have updated them. It sucks, why cant they leave well enough alone. Whats next... a needs a turbo powered lazer firing skiping rope that you can plug into your pc and compete with friends? meh.
They dont leave anything to develop a childs imagination anymore, its all there in 3D surround sound. Im starting to sound like an old woman.
Friday night was oh so dull. I cooked daniel and I a fantastic dinner of moose shaped pasta in tomato and mascapone sauch with bernard matthews chicken Dinosaurs (not just food...a form of entertainment!) and garlic foccachia. It was very yummy. Then he fell asleep and left me sitting up online all night.
Saturday was pretty much the same, i did fuck all and in the end dragged daniel out to mcdonalds (i dont know why, i dont even like it) and then we went to see The Devil Wears Prada. I really liked it, I love Anne Hathaway and I just thought the movie was cool. I might take my mum to see it on friday.
Sunday was pretty crazy, Daniel and I decided to go to the south bank when he was finished at the hospital so i said to meet outside St Pauls Cathedral. It took me ages to get to the tube and when i was finally on the damn tube, as we were pulling into St Pauls an announcement came over the speaker saying St pauls was closed for the day. bugger. so I had to go all the way down to tottenham court road so i could call daniel who was stuck on a bus heading towards liverpool street. so back i go, to liverpool street which is where i started from, and then wait half and hour for daniel to come. once we finally meet up we grab something to eat and jump back on the tube to London Bridge. Then we walk, london bridge, to the Globe. I wanted to take daniel in as he has never been before but the BBC were recording a radio version of King Lear so we just went to the exhibition. I really like it, its interesting but once you have done it twice its a bit dull. So then we went into the Tate modern just as it was closing but i got to show daniel the big silver slides. After that we walked further along to the film theatre, and the southbank book market. it was cold and neither of us had a jacket but it was nice. we walked to the london eye and went for a drink in a bar nearby. then carried on walking, across the westminister bridge, past big ben then down parliament square, past downing street, past the horse guard parade and then into Trafalger Square where they were having a big Divali festival. we stayed to watch a bit then walked to Leicster Square and Picadilly circus. round the back of China Town and then got the train home. But even that took us forever as half the bloody lines were closed.
Monday i went to class and we have finally picked topics for our london project, I am doing a story about the haunted streets of london and then a journalism piece on Jack the Ripper. and now I gotta run as i am meeting Kaitlin and M in central in an hour!!!
